Racing Career:

In 2004 Nathan began his racing career by purchasing a race ready Sportsman class stock car.  From 2004 thru 2006 Nathan raced the Godfrey, Greenville and Tri-City Il tracks.

                                                           

In 2007 Nathan moved to the UMP Modified class.

Work Career:

Nathan Bowman began his aviation career in 1975 with the U.S. Army.  He attended the UH-1 Helicopter Repair School.  For the next 3 years he served in a Medivac unit at Ft. Campbell, Ky. and a Combat Aviation Brigade Unit in Germany.

 

In 1979 Nathan joined a USAR unit located at Scott AFB, IL.  From 1979 to 1985 Nathan served as a helicopter crew chief.  In 1986 he graduated from the Army’s Warrant Officer Rotary Wing Course.  From 1986 to 1996 he attended the Army’s UH-1 Maintenance Management Course, UH-60 Qualification Course, UH-60 Maintenance Management Course, Warrant Officer Senior Course, Aviation Safety Officer Course, Unit Movement Officer Course and the Supervisor Development Course.  Nathan served in Southwest Asia during Desert Storm and conducted acceptance, general and limited test flights on UH-60 aircraft.  He also organized, planned and tracked all company and battalion maintenance assets for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and he flew combat support and resupply missions.  During his 20-plus years in the military, Nathan received the Bronze Star, Air Medal and numerous other medals, awards and citations.  From 1996 to 2001 Nathan served in the Individual Ready Reserve and retired on 30 November 2001.

 

From 1981 to 1996 Nathan worked for the Department of the Army in various positions including Aircraft Mechanic, Aircraft Repair Inspector, Aircraft Mechanic Leader and Aircraft Mechanic Foreman.  Nathan attended several schools during his time with the Department of the Army, including Lycoming T53L13 Engine Course, Beechcraft Familiarization Course and the Hazardous Communication Program Course, just to name a few.

 

During Nathan’s 30 plus years in the aviation field he has acquired several licenses including Emergency Medical Technician (non-current), Mechanic – Airframe and Powerplant, Airplane – single engine land, Aircraft Instrument, Rotorcraft and Commercial Pilot.

 

In 1994 Nathan joined the Fabritech team on a part-time basis as the Production Manager and he became a full-time employee in 1996.  During Nathan’s time with Fabritech he also served as the Quality Manager for 3 years and he is currently the Director of Operations.  Nathan has helped grow the company from a 3-man shop to its current status as a well-known and respected company within the Maintenance Repair and Overhaul community.
